Like it Says on the Tin

Our rules for inclusion are pretty simple: submit crafts that are geeky. It must be both! This means that fanart drawings and comics are not accepted. Digital renderings are also not accepted.

Final determination of what counts as either is made by the group admins. WIPs are not accepted, we only take finished items.

Submissions must come from a fandom (i.e. movies, video games, TV shows, books, etc). OCs and the like will be declined.

Please keep it clean, legal, and appropriate. We have a lot of young members, and content that is adult-oriented or of a mature nature will most likely be declined.

Also, we only take one example of a project. For example: if you have a billion pictures of your favorite cosplay outfit, we're only going to take one. If you submit more than one, whoever gets around to approvals first will choose their favorite and decline the rest.

Please submit your work to the gallery, and not as a Favourite. Submissions from members faving their own work will be declined.

For further details, check this blog post:…
Hello all. You may have noticed that there are some new folders in our gallery. If you haven't noticed, trust me, they're there. This time I even remembered to unlock them for submissions (I always seem to forget to do that whenever I make folders for other Groups I moderate ^^;).

The new folders -- and examples of the things that go in them -- are:

:bulletgreen:Culinary This is for cakes, decorated cupcakes, pumpkin carvings... crafts made out of edible things go here.

:bulletblue: Clothes and Accessories As opposed to the "Cosplay and Props" folder, this one is for everyday wear with a geeky slant. Hats shaped like Pokémon, hoodies patterned after your favourite character, scarves, bags, hair-clips and so on.

:bulletpurple: Customizations Modified toys and gaming consoles and suchlike. Nerd-bling up your headphones, resculpt an MLP toy, kitbash a few action figures, then throw it in this folder. NOTE: Simple repaints don't count. There must be physical modifications done to it.

The "Cross Stitch" folder has also been renamed "Needlepoint" to better cover all the different kinds of embroidery out there, since cross-stitch is just one of many varieties.

Now go forth and submit your geeky crafts!

Are there any other folders people think we may need or would like to see?

I have a question. I see that there is a rule that you can only submit one picture of a subject. But I have a few pictures that feature different plushies, but have ones that I've previously posted in them (examples: has just Pit. But focuses on Dark Pit, but has the same Pit plushie in one of the shots). Can I still post the Dark Pit one even though Pit's in it and I'm planning on submitting the Pit one as well?

Yeah, those two would be fine to submit independently, since only one of them is the main focus in each piece. Go ahead and submit both.

Would tutorials of a Craft be allowed ?
ChimeraDragonfang Featured By Owner Oct 19, 2015
We have a Patterns, How-Tos, Tutorials folder for just that kind of thing. As long as it is a tutorial for a geeky craft, it's welcome in our gallery.
